Music Composition Example - Space
Sheet Music for Video Example.
Movie scene originally from Serenity (2005) directed by Joss Whedon. The only limitation to this class project was to rescore the scene using a full orchestra with harp. I wanted to underscore this scene with lifeless overlapping chords to reflect the decimated region of space where the scene took place. Brass sections were brought in to show tension and more destruction as they passed through the wreckage of a fleet. Sheet music can be found in the section section with other compositions.

Music Composition Example - Fallout
Sheet Music for Video Example.
Original video produced by Bethesda Softworks. This was a class project where we had to compose music for a short video using a small ensemble of our choice. I chose to use piano, viola, and cello as I felt like the ensemble created a warm emotional texture that I could develop and change midway through the clip. The challenge with this piece was to relate the beginning more somber tone with the destructive torn nature of the ending. Sheet music for this video can be found below with more examples.
